KINGSCLEAR TERRACE
At its core, the brief called for the addition of a bedroom and bathroom while preserving a strong connection to the rear courtyard garden. Presented with generous existing volumes, the design moves beyond simple accommodation to recalibrate the spatial experience and improve year-round comfort.
A key focus was addressing excessive summer heat gain. Expanses of western glazing were carefully reconsidered, with openings refined and high-level natural light introduced to maintain brightness without compromising privacy or thermal performance. The result is a measured intervention that enhances amenity, environmental performance, and spatial quality.
